The purpose of NACSW's social work educator listserv is twofold: 1. To provide a forum for discussion of issues in social work education informed by a Christian worldview (we envision this as a "seedbed" for more formal research, writing, and publication); 2. To provide a vehicle for sharing relevant information (for example, about books, conferences, position openings, accreditation matters, etc. of special interest to Christians in social work education). This listserv is intended to help NACSW social work educators integrate their Christian faith and professional social work practice. At the same time, we realize that there will be differences of opinion among our members and friends regarding issues of interest to Christians in social work. NACSW encourages healthy, respectful and civil discussion - even when we don't necessarily agree with each other - about these issues both on our listserv and in our interactions with each other and other members of the social work profession. b) As a Christian organization, NACSW asks that you respect our desire to create a safe listserv community in which members and friends can ask genuine questions and have honest discussions about the integration of faith and practice. 3) We understand that there are many ideas and positions that not all of our members or friends agree on. As such, unless otherwise stated, listserv posts and responses do NOT necessarily represent the views of NACSW or its entire membership. Views and opinions stated are those of the post author and contribute to the greater discussion and dialogue about faith and social work practice. 4) NACSW reserves the right to moderate all comments before they are posted and remove those that are deemed offensive, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate. Using Educators
To post a message to all the list members, send email to educators@nacsw.info. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Educators
Subscribe to Educators by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
